3. RANKED-CHOICE VOTING -Receive presentations regarding ranked-choice voting; discuss and provide feedback to staff.

Jaso n Haber introduced Marcella Miranda-Caballero, Executive Director from the California Ranked Choice Voting Institute, who presented a report in support of ranked-choice voting including a Power Point presentation (on file in the Office of the City Clerk).
Jason Haber introduced Paula Whitsell, citizen from the City of Chula Vista, who presented a report in opposition of ranked-choice voting including a Power Point presentation (on file in the Office of the City Clerk).
The subcommittee received the reports.
SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBER REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS:
Subcommittee Member Acosta requested future presentations from the California Insurance Commissioner's Office regarding fires/climate related homeowner's insurance, and the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) on Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) reform.
SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Subcommittee Member Acosta shared that she had attended the League of California Cities San Diego Division meeting that included a discussion on RHNA reform and that she will be attending the League of California Cities Annual Conference in Long Beach in October.
