CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Byme called the meeting to oder at 2:00 p.m.
Roll call: Councilmembers Hans Buder, Alissandra Dramov, and Mayor Dale Byrne were present in Chambers, with Mayor Pro Tem Bob Delves attending remotely. Absent: Councilmember Jeff Baron.
Mayor Pro Tem Delves announced that he is attending the meeting remotely for just cause under Calif . Govemment Code Section 54953. 8. 3(cX1 ).
ORDERS OF BUSINESS
ltem I - Consider the Proposed Rebuttal Argument to the Primary Argument Against the Transient Occupancy Tax (IOT) Ballot Measure.
Recommendation: Motion to approve Rebuttal Argument to the Primary Argument Against the Transient Occupancy Tax fl'OT) Ballot Measure or other direction by Council.
City Attorney Brian Pierik gave a summary of the item.

Councilmembers reviewed the proposed rebuttaltext included in the packet and agreed that it effectively counters the misleading infurmation regarding TOT.
Motion by Councilmember Dramov to approve the Proposed Rebuttal Argument to the Primary Argument Against the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Ballot Measure as presented in the packet, and to authorize Councilmember Buder or Mayor Pro Tem Delves to make minor edits to the rebuttal if deemed necessary after submifting it to the Monterey County Elections office, seconded by Councilmember Buder, and approved 4-0-1{ by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Gouncilmember Buder, Delves, Dramov, and Mayor Byrne NOES: None
ABSENT: Gouncilmember Baron
ABSTAIN: None
