CALL TO ORDER:
The mee ting was called to order at 6:18 P.M. by Mayor Lula Davis -Holmes in the Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center at Carson, Hall B, located at 801 E. Carson Street, Carson, California 90745.

Mayor Davis-Holmes introduced Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal, California State Assembly District 69, who administered the Oath of Office to Honorable James “Jim” L. Dear.
Mayor Davis-Holmes introduced Mayor Pro Tempore Hilton who administered the Oath of Office to Honorable Khaleah K. Bradshaw, Ed.D.
Mayor Davis -Holmes introduced newly elected City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K. Bradshaw who administered the Oath of Office to Honorable Monica Cooper.
City Treasurer Monica Cooper offered words of gratitude and wished everyone a wonderful holiday.
Mayor Davis-Holmes introduced Los Angeles Police Department Chief Deputy Donald Graham and Commander Jonathan Tom who administered the Oath of Office to Honorable Arleen Bocatija Rojas.
FLAG SALUTE:
Mayor Pro Tempore Hilton led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Congratulated and thanked City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K. Bradshaw, City Treasurer Monica Cooper, Council Member Jim Dear, and Council Member Arleen Bocatija Rojas for their election victories and hard work; thanked everyone for their attendance; requested a Mo bilehome Park Zoning Ordinance; announced the start of Ending The Silence for Mental Health (ETS) at Carson High School; thanked the Mayor, City Council, City Manager and City Attorney for their leadership ; acknowledged AFSCME rank and file for working har d; and wished everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Council Member Jim Dear offered comments, words of gratitude and congratulated the electors for their victory. He acknowledged former Mayor of Carson Albert Robles and former Mayor Pro Tempore Elito Santarina who were in attendance.
City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K. Bradshaw offered comments and words of gratitude.
Council Member Arleen Rojas offered comments and words of gratitude.
SPECIAL PERFORMANCE:
Council Member Rojas introduced Harold Payne and Angel Bonilla who sang “Music Speaks Louder Than Words” and joined in by Darren Embry and Council Member Rojas.

Mayor Davis-Holmes, Mayor Pro Tempore Hilton, and Council Member Hicks offered comments and congratulatory remarks to the electors.
PRESENTATIONS
Kasie Hervey announced she is the Field Representative for Congresswoman Nanette Barragan of California’s 44 th District. She congratulated and presented Certificates of Recognition on behalf of Congresswoman Barragan to Council Member Arleen Rojas for the 4th District, Council Member Jim Dear for the 2nd District, City Treasurer Monica Cooper, and City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K. Bradshaw. She thanked them for their work and look forward to their partnership.
Maya Douglas announced she is the District Director for Assemblyman Mike Gipson who represents the newly redrawn Assembly District 65. She stated Assemblyman Mike Gipson sends his regards and congratulations to Council Member Arleen Rojas, Council Member Jim Dear, City Treasurer Monica Cooper, and City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K. Bradshaw for their election victories and presented certificates to them on his behalf.
George Chen, Mayor of City of Torrance, presented certificates to Council Member Arleen Rojas, Council Member Jim Dear, City Treasurer Monica Cooper, and City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K.
Bradshaw. He congratulated them on their election victories on behalf of the City of Torrance City Council.
City Manager David Roberts, Jr. and Assistant City Manager Robert Lennox presented flower bouquets to Council Member Arleen Rojas, Council Member Jim Dear, C ity Treasurer Monica Cooper, and City Clerk, Dr. Khaleah K. Bradshaw.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:34 P.M. by Mayor Davis-Holmes.
