DISCUSSION:

In 2021, the Fire Department budgeted to replace one of the two 2009 F250 pickups.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The purchase price of the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe will be $60,296.38 (including estimated sales tax). Bids were solicited from five local dealerships and two responses were received. The local GM dealer (Jessup) provided the attached bid which includes a governmental rebate of $6,400. The other response received was from Paradise Chevrolet in Banning. They offered a similar SUV for a price of $82,184.

An additional $5,689.43 is requested to install the necessary emergency lighting and radio package, for a grand total of $65,985.81:

Cost with sales tax and rebate $60,296.38
Light and radio package 5,689.43
