Deputy City Attorney Leila Moshef-Danesh provided an overview of the proposed Urgency Ordinance Establishing a Moratorium on the issuance of STVR permits under the Cathedral City Municipal Code Chapter 5.96.
Danny Lee expressed his support for the proposed urgency ordinance and thanked the City Council for listening to the residents.
Diane McAlpine expressed her concern for residents located in HOAs zoned in RR zones and feels they need the same protection from STVRs.
Tony Michaelis, President of Montage Mission Hills HOA, is hopeful that this urgency ordinance will allow for the wishes of the majority of their residents to prevail.
