City Manager Charles McClendon reported that there was a big data dump into the State's system on February 8, 2022, which was case information that was backed up from the last month. He sated that he took that data and spread it over the last 30 days to get a clearer picture. He stated that the numbers were bad in late January through February, however, the numbers have since improved at the Federal, State, County, and City levels. He indicated that we are still seeing increase numbers in deaths, which tend to lag behind. He feels it is encouraging, although, there is still a lot of transmission occurring in the community.
