ROI & Business Case Assumptions
How Did We Calculate that?
For Turnover and Replacement Costs:
We estimated that around 240.00 family employees leave Cathedral City annually because of a lack of childcare support.
We took their average salaries of $46,500.00, multiplied that by the industry average replacement cost (40% of salary for entry level, 150% of salary for mid-level, and 400% of salary for senior level), and multiplied by the number of employees in each cohort to get an annual cost of $27,373,800. Over three years, this equates to $82,121,400.
For Absenteeism and Presenteeism Costs:
We estimated that Cathedral City has 24,000 employed residents, and of those 3,600 have a child between the ages of 0-12, who on average miss 8 days of work per year due to childcare issues, meaning your businesses are missing a total of 28,800 full work days annually. If their average salary is $46,500.00, then every missed day of work costs Cathedral City Employers an average of $178.16 per day per employee or $5,131,034 annually and $15,393,103 over 3-years.
