At the conclusion of the discussion, it was the direction of the City Council that staff bring back, at a future meeting, a Commission/Committee appointment process and transition plan fo r the City Council to discuss, which includes the City Council making one appointment to each commission by district or at large.
The City Council also discussed whether or not they would like to consider offering stipends to Commission/Committee members. After discussion, it was the direction of the City Council to not move forward with offering stipends to Commission/Committee members at this time.
