Unit prices in each and every case represent a true and consistent unit price used in preparing the bid schedule totals (Bid Form). Unit prices listed herein include material, installation and appurtenant work as is necessary to have the item complete and in place meeting the full intent of the plans and specifications. We acknowledge that the presentation of unbalanced unit prices shall be sufficient cause for rejection of our bid. The purpose of the unit pricing is for bid evaluation and changes in the work during construction. We also acknowledge that the basis of award shall be the lowest combined price of all bid items including Additive Alternates.

• CLARIFICATIONS
Q-1. Sheet 2 of 2 of the Avenida Los Ninos plans has crosshatched area that shows a cold mill of 0.25' and pave back of 0.25'. This is dirt and is in an area that appears to be a future widening. Furthermore, there is no cold mill line item in the Bid Schedule. What is to be done in the crosshatched area shown on the plans? Is this a widening and if so, what is the structural section? A.1 Correct, the area hatched on Avenida Los Ninos is to be pulverized, compacted, and overlayed with asphalt concrete. For the revised section, please see plan set attached in this addendum.
Q-2. The Bid Schedule for Avenida Los Ninos has a line item for pulverizing 12" of roadway. No pulverization is shown on the plans. What area is to be pulverized on Avenida Los Ninos? What is the thickness of AC that is to be placed on the pulverized material?
A.2 See response A.1 for area to be pulverized on Avenida Los Ninos. The thickness of a.c. pavement to be 0.25'.
Q-3. If there is pulverization on Avenida Los Ninos, what is the reason for the sawcut 2' from edge of pavement shown on Sheet 2 of 2?
A.3 Sheet 2 of 2 on Avenida Los Ninos notes to sawcut 2" from edge of pavement. The intention for the sawcut from the edge of pavement is to provide a better transition when placing new A.C. pavement. For additional information, please see plan set and added language attached in this addendum.
Q-4 Sheet 2 of 2 of the Avenida shows a 60 scale, but the dimensions measure closer to a 50 scale.
Please double check the scale and advise.
