and Environmental Determination
Notice is hereby given that the Cathedral City City Council will hold a Public Hearing on the following:

Housing Element Update (GPA No. 20-001) City of Cathedral City 2040 General Plan Update (GPA No. 18-002)
Change of Zone No. 21-001
Zone Ordinance Amendment No. 22-002
PROPOSAL
Following the City Council approval of the General Plan and Housing Element Updates, associated changes to the official Zoning and General Plan Maps of the City and amendments to the Cathedral City Municipal Code (CCMC) are required. Additional minor amendments to the CCMC are also proposed.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
A Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) was certified for the 2040 General Plan Update, a Negative Declaration was adopted for the Housing Element Update, and the proposed additional minor amendments to the CCMC are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per CEQA Guidelines 15061(b)(3) on the grounds that it can be seen with certainty that these amendments do not have the potential to cause significant environmental impacts.
All information regarding the proposed project is available for public review at the City of Cathedral City Civic Center, Planning Department, 68-700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM). If City offices are closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, please contact the project planner below to review the project.

Any person may appear at the hearings and be heard in support of, or opposition to, the proposed project or environmental determination.
The City Council, at the public hearing or during deliberations, may approve, deny, or propose changes to the project or to the environmental determination.
