Ms. Martinez and Chairman Dada:
I am writing to submit my resignation as the City of Cathedral City Commissioner on the Airport Commission. This will also serve as resignation from the Marketing Committee as well as Chairperson for the Noise Committee. After careful consideration, this resignation is effective This July I made a significant career change and due to the demands of the new venture my ability to properly commit the time and attention to this position has been extremely compromised. Additionally, and more importantly, the demands of caring for my elderly father have significantly increased over the past two months. In light of all of that I find myself having to step back from various commitments, this being one of them.
My time on the Commission has been wonderful and I have been thankful to represent the City of Cathedral City and I am deeply apologetic for the inconvenience this may cause. Should there be a more formal process to submit my resignation I would appreciate any guidance in that area. I'll look forward to following the business of the Commission in the public forum and wish nothing but the best for the group.
