BACKGROUND:
Mayor Rita Lamb participated in a panel discussion with local city officials and local educational leaders regarding diversity and racial equity. Following the discussion, Mayor Lamb requested that staff provide a presentation to the City Council on the same.
DISCUSSION:
Eugenia Torres, Human Resources Manager, and Ryan Hunt, Communications and Events Manager, will provide an overview on the definition of diversity and racial equity.
They will also provide information on what efforts are being made by the City to ensure awareness in the workplace.
