Title: Approve an Amendment to the CCPMA Memorandum of
Understanding

RECOMMENDATION:
To approve an Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Cathedral City and Cathedral City Police Management Association (CCPMA).
BACKGROUND:
On December 14, 2022, the City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Cathedral City and the C athedral City Police Management Association ( CCPMA) for FY 07/01/2022 – 06/30/2025. Upon review, the parties identified a correction that needed to be made to the years to reflect the parties’ agreement related to the Salary Increase for Command ers and the applicable term of the new MOU.
DISCUSSION:
Staff is recommending the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Cathedral City and the CCPMA be corrected for Commander’s salary increase in year two (2) and year three (3) as follows:
1. Incorrect:
i. Salary Increase – Effective the first full payroll period following the following designated dates:
Sergeants: 3.0% upon ratification; 3.5% 07/01/2023; 3.5% 07/01/2024 Commanders: 3.5% upon ratification; 4.0% 07/01/2024; 4.0% 07/01/2025
2. Correct:
i. Salary Increase – Effective the first full payroll period following the following designated dates:
Sergeants: 3.0% upon ratification; 3.5% 07/01/2023; 3.5% 07/01/2024 Commanders: 3.5% upon ratification; 4.0% 07/01/2023; 4.0% 07/01/2024
