1. AGENDA ITEMS
A. Staffing Review of the Development Services Department Recommendation: This item is presented for information, discussion and direction only.
Robert Rodriguez, Director of Planning and Building, provided an overview of the staffing for the Developm ent Services Department and provided an overview of the services and functions each division of the department is responsible for, and the amount of time spent doing them. He provided information on some of the major accomplishments of each division and in troduced their future goals and initiatives.
Danny Lee, commended staff for all of their efforts and accomplishments, especially related to STVR's. He also expressed how happy he is to hear what is happening with permitting and inspections.

Council pro vided comments and asked clarifying questions, which were responded to by staff. This item was presented for information and discussion only, there was no formal action taken.
B. Staffing Review of the Assistant City Manager and Economic Development Departments
Recommendation: This item is presented for information, discussion and direction only.
Anne Ambrose, Assistant City Manager, provided an overview of the Assistant City Manager position and the departments that she oversees. She went over the functions of the Assistant City Manager and the approximate time spent in each area. She reported that Information Technology/Management Information Systems will now be under her supervision, and she provided an overview of the department's responsibilities and future goals.
Stone James, Economic Development Director, provided an overview of the staffing of the Economic Development Department, the functions, and the approximate percentage of time spent doing those functions. He presented the department’s activit ies and accomplishments as well as key future goals. He went over proposed changes and additions for the FY 2023/2024 and FY 2024/2025 budget cycle.
There was discussion amongst the members of the City Council and questions were asked related to the prop osed changes and additions for the upcoming budget cycle with responses from staff.
