John Corella, Director of Engineering and Public Works, provided an update on the Downtown Dog Park and conceptual design.
Danny Lee supports this project and expressed his hope that the Tribe would partner with the City on the project in some way. He encouraged EV charging and the use of solar where possible.
Erin Hyland, Parks and Community Events Commissioner, reiterated the Commissions priorities, which include pickle ball as a top priority. She expressed her support for the project.
After discussion, it was the consensus of the City Council to support the Second Street Dog Park/Downtown Dog Park conceptual design, and the submittal of an application for the State Parks Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant should it be determined that the site is eligible.
