Charles McClendon, City Manager, provided an update from the Cannabis Task Force which included their discussions on past Council actions, expiration of inactive retail licenses, Fire Code regulations and carbon dioxide storage.
Councilmember Gregory expressed his concern with safety guidelines not being adhered to and feels the issue should be addressed.
After discussion, the City Council expressed support for the recommendations provided by staff and the Cannabis Task Force and directed staff to bring back an ordinance for consideration.
