and Environmental Determination
Notice is hereby given that the Cathedral City City Council will hold a Public Hearing on the following:

General Plan Amendment No. 20-001 City of Cathedral City
PROPOSAL
The Housing Element was adopted by the City Council on May 25, 2022, and was submitted to HCD for final review. However, additional modifications were required by HCD. These modifications have been made, reviewed by HCD, and the Housing Element must be readopted by the City prior to final approval by HCD. The update to the Housing Element of the City’s General Plan is required to ensure conformance with State law and incorporate the City’s Regional Housing Needs Allocation for the 2021-2029 planning period.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
On May 25, 2022, the City Council adopted and approved the Initial Study/Negative Declaration for this project. It has been determined that none of the proposed revisions to the Housing Element require subsequent environmental analysis. Therefore, no further documentation is necessary.
