Deanna Pressgrove, Environmental Conservation and Public Works Manager, provided a presentation on the annual rate increase for solid waste and recycling collection for residential, commercial and roll off services.
Councilmember Gregory expressed his concern with the roll out of the new program and feels that Burrtec could have done a better job.
Mayor Rita Lamb opened the Public Hearing for public comments.
Chip Yarborough, expressed his concern with the roll out of the new program and hopes that the City will consider going out for a competitive bid for something like this in the future.
Mayor Lamb closed the Public Hearing and returned discussion to the City Council.
