Dear Public Service Providers of Cathedral City,
The City of Cathedral City is accepting Public Service Grant Applications for funds available for the time period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. Programs will be reviewed and evaluated by City Officials and City Staff in meeting the priority needs of our community.
PLEASE NOTE – The submission of a Public Service Grant Application IS NOT a guarantee of funding. Grants are subject to the approval of the City Council. The City reserves the right to reject any and all applications. The City also reserves the authority to make mid-year adjustments and/or re-establish priorities for the expenditure of funds which may impact public service grants.
Program Description
For Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/2024, it is anticipated $70,000 in funds will be available, on a competitive basis, for public service grants. Grant awards can range from $1,000 to $15,000. The proposed program MUST provide services to Cathedral City residents addressing priority needs services for youth, seniors, homeless individuals, persons with disabilities or other underserved populations.
Application Criteria:
1. Applicants must be a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization or a tribal or governmental agency.
2. Applicants must be based in Cathedral City OR demonstrate they provide services to residents or businesses of Cathedral City.
3. Applicants must be able to demonstrate they receive funding from other sources and are not relying only on City support.
4. Preference will be given to applicants meeting health and human service needs of underserved populations.
Proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm PDT on July 31, 2023. The City anticipates awarding grants no later than September 13, 2023. For additional information, questions, and comments, please contact London Pyle, [email protected].
