Title: Approve an Amendment to the CCPFA Memorandum of Understanding

RECOMMENDATION:
To approve an Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Cathedral City and Cathedral City Professional Firefighters Association (CCPFA).
BACKGROUND:
On August 9, 2023, the City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Cathedral City and the Cathedral City Professional Firefighters Association (CCPFA) for the term of 01/01/2023-12/31/2025. Upon review, the parties identified corrections that needed to be made to reflect the parties’ agreement.
DISCUSSION:
I. Remove the word “allow” in 6.10.
II. For 10.4: Change language to Human Resources Manager to mirror CCFMA’s process.
III. Incorporate side letter scenarios into the MOU re holiday chart IV. For 17.1.2, Add in Sections a and b below and as follows:
a) The minimum employer contribution amount for the 2023 calendar year is $151.00.
b) The minimum employer contribution amount for the 2024 calendar year will be the amount established by CalPERS
