Title: Zoning Ordinance Amendment 23 -001 - An Amendment to Chapter 9.114 Accessory Dwelling Units

RECOMMENDATION:
Provide second reading by title only, and adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 9.114 Accessory Dwelling Units of Title 9 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Attached for adoption is an ordinance amending chapter 9.114 Accessory Dwelling Units in accordance with recent state legislation governing ADUs.
On November 29, 2023, the City Council the City Council conducted a public hearing and moved to introduce the proposed ordinance, attached to this agenda report, with no revisions.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Other than standard staff costs associated with preparation of the ordinance and associated reports, no adverse fiscal impact will occur.
