Title: Award of FM Global Grant to Cathedral City Fire Dept.

RECOMMENDATION:
To approve a grant from FM Global in the amount of $3297.00 for the purchase of three Apple iPads to be used by fire department personnel.
BACKGROUND:
The fire department applied for and received $3297.00 from FM Global for 3 iPads. The Fire Department application requested replacement of three outdated Apple iPads. The new Apple iPads will allow Fire Department personnel to input and process patient data with a faster processing speed.
DISCUSSION:
FM Global believes that most property loss is preventable. FM Global represents many of the world's largest organizations including one in every three Fortune 100 companies.
FM Global works to better understand the hazards that can impact business and their customers. To make cost effective risk management decisions combining property loss, prevention, and insurance protection FM Global has awarded millions of dollars in grants over the last 40 years.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Fiscal impact by increasing fund 259 by $3297.00 for revenues and expenditures for project G05555.
