RECOMMENDATION:
To provide second reading by title only, and adopt an ordinance adding Chapter 9.116 Two-Unit Residential Developments and Urban Lot Splits to Title 9 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Attached for adoption is an ordinance adding Chapter 9.116 Two -Unit Residential Developments and Urban Lot Splits to Title 9 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code, in accordance with SB 9 enacting the California legislature.
On March 13, 2024 , the City Council conducted a public hearing and moved to introduce the proposed ordinance, attached to this agenda report.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Other than standard staff costs associated with preparation of the ordinance and associated reports, no adverse fiscal impact will occur.
