Title: Ratify the Nomination of Mitchell King by Councilmember Raymond Gregory to fill the Unexpired Vacant Seat on the Architectural Review Committee Continuing through June 30, 2026

RECOMMENDATION:
To ratify the nomination of Mitchell King by Councilmember Raymond Gregory to fill an unexpired term on the Architectural Review Committee and appoint him to serve for a term continuing through June 30, 2026.
BACKGROUND:
The Architectural Review Committee Parks currently has one vacant seat. This vacant seat has the requirement that it be filled with a licensed landscape architect or someone that has a license, certificate, degree, training or work experience in the same field determined to be relevant by the City Council . Pursuant to City Council Resolution 2022-47, this seat shall be nominated by Councilmember Raymond Gregory. The term for this vacant seat expires on June 30, 2026.
DISCUSSION:
The vacancy on the Architectural Review Committee was posted as required by Government Code 54974 and it was noticed that applications would be received until filled.
An application was received from Mitchell King. Councilmember Raymond Gregory met with the applicant, and it is his desire to nominate Mr. King to fill the vacant seat. The application for Mr. King is attached for your review.
Pursuant to Resolution 2022 -47, staff recommends the City Council ratify Councilmember Raymond Gregory’s nomination and appoint Mr. King to fill the unexpired seat on the Architectural Review Committee with a term expiring on June 30, 2026.
