Thank you for your willingness to serve your local government and community.
Dear Council Members:
For the last two years, I have served as a Historic Preservation Commissioner for the city of Cathedral City. It has been most rewarding both personally and professionally. Having worked in a 30-year cultural resources career in both the private, state, and the last 15 years for the federal government, I believe I have the experience to contribute to the on-going efforts to preserve the historic structures of our wonderful city.
Additionally, I have been a nation-to-nation Tribal Consultant working with hundreds of tribes across the country. In my career as an archaeologist for the federal government, I worked closely with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) in Washington D.C.
I hope you will allow me to continue contributing to the Historic Preservation Commission as we work to improve our application and work to educate the public about the benefits of historic preservation.
Yours sincerely,
Charlete Hfunter-Cxpper.ph.f.
