Title: Accept the Resignation of Baudilio Corrales from the Historic Preservation Committee
RECOMMENDATION:
To accept the resignation of Baudilio Corrales from the Historic Preservation Committee effective immediately and direct staff to proceed with filling the vacant seats.
BACKGROUND:
Baudilio Corrales was appointed to serve on the Historic Preservation Committee on February 12, 2020, and was reappointed on June 28, 2023, for a full term expiring on June 30, 2026.
DISCUSSION:
On August 15, 2024, staff received an email from Baudilio Corrales submitting his resignation from the Historic Preservation Committee.
With the resignation of Baudilio Corrales, the Historic Preservation Committee will have two vacant seats, one with the term expiring on June 30, 2025 and one with a term expiring on June 30, 2026.
Staff recommends the City Council direct staff to do the following:
•Pursuant to Government Code 54974, post a Notice of Vacancy. No appointment can be made sooner than 10 days after the Notice of Vacancy has been posted. •Post vacancy on social media and the City’s website.
•Accept applications and schedule interviews until vacancies have been filled.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact with this action.
