Several of my fellow artists who would share in this grant live in gated communities where we would not be able to show our art work during the Desert Open Studio Tours. So our plan for the grant money would be to rent studio space on Perez Road in Cathedral City which is the heart of the city's art community. We are still

1. gathering information as to the cost from a source that might have space available to rent so the grant request is just a ball park figure. Hundreds of people visit Perez Road during Desert Open Studios weekend which takes place end of January We would like to rent just the 3 days but not sure that is doable. So that is way we are requesting the grant amount to cover a month's rent. The DOST is a very popular event for the Cathedral City art community, open to the public and a great venue for artists like our selves who do not have gallery representation.

Budget: ( Provide a comprehensive budget for your project. Budget should include total grant funds requested, all project expenses including artist fees, materials, installation costs, rentals, advertising, travel costs.
