Title: Appoint Sunshine Herrera to fill a Vacant Seat on the Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission.
RECOMMENDATION:
To appoint Sunshine Herrera to fill the vacant seat on the Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission, to serve on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND:
The Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission was established by Ordinance 48, which was adopted by the voters of Cathedral City on March 8, 1983. This Commission only meets when staff has received a request for a determination from either a park tenant or park owner. The last time the City received a request for a determination and met was in 2022.
DISCUSSION:
The Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission is made up of five members, there is currently one vacant seat. Staff received an application from Sunshine Herrera to serve on the Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission. Appointing Mrs. Herrera will ensure the City has a full Commission in the event we receive a request for determination.
Mrs. Herrera has previously served on the Public Arts Commission. Her application is attached for your review and consideration.
