Title: Ratify the nomination of Patrick Evan Iachetta (Patrick Evans) by Mayor Nancy Ross to serve on the Historic Preservation Committee and appoint him to fill an unexpired term continuing through June 30, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION:
Ratify the nomination of Patrick Evan Iachetta (Patrick Evans) by Mayor Nancy Ross to serve on the Historic Preservation Committee and appoint him to fill an unexpired term continuing through June 30, 2026.
BACKGROUND:
The Historic Preservation Committee currently has two vacant seats with terms expiring June 30, 2026. Pursuant to City Council Resolution 2022-47, one seat shall be nominated by Mayor Nancy Ross (District Two) and one seat shall be nominated by Councilmember Rita Lamb (District One).
DISCUSSION:
The vacancies on the Historic Preservation Committee were posted as required by Government Code 54974, with a deadline to receive applications until the position is filled.
An application was received from Patrick Evan Iachetta (Patrick Evans). Mayor Nancy Ross and Councilmember Rita Lamb conducted an interview. Mayor Nancy Ross would like to nominate Mr. Iachetta to fill the vacant seat for District Two with a term continuing through June 30, 2026, his application is attached for your review.
It is the staff’s recommendation that, pursuant to City Council Resolution 2022-47, the City Council ratify the nomination of Mayor Nancy Ross of Patrick Evan Iachetta (Patrick Evans) to serve on the Historic Preservation Committee and formally appoint him to fill one of the unexpired terms continuing through June 30, 2026.
With this appointment, the Historic Preservation Committee will have one vacancy for District One nomination. Staff will continue to accept applications until the remaining vacancy is filled.

There is no Fiscal Impact with this item.
