RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CATHEDRAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE FINANCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR TO ACT AS
THE OFFICIAL DESIGNEE FOR THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
PERFORMANCE GRANT (EPMG) AND STATE HOMELAND SECURITY
GRANT PROGRAM (SHSP)
WHEREAS, Cathedral City Fire & EMS applied for the FY 2024 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) program to support Cathedral City’s Emergency Operations Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council accepted a grant from the Riverside County Emergency Management Department in the amount of $8,685.00 to purchase Emergency Operations Center computers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to assign staff as Official Designees to enter into a Grant Subaward with Riverside County Emergency Management Department for the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EPMG) and State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSP) and authorize all amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cathedral City that the City Manager and the Financial Services Director are hereby authorized to act as the Official Designees to execute grant agreements and amendments for the Riverside County Emergency Management Department Fiscal Year 2024, Fiscal Year 2025, and Fiscal Year 2026 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EPMG) and State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSP).
