Subject: Parks California - 2025 Arts in California Parks - Implementation Grant - Award Information

Dear Amanda Geisendorfer:

Congratulations! Your organization, City of Cathedral City, has been selected to receive the 2025 Arts in California Parks - Implementation Grant. Your grant project, Hope Rising: Esperanza Park Cultural Celebration, is receiving $98,167.00.

This grant program is administered by Parks California, the official public-private nonprofit partner to California State Parks. We are excited for the opportunity to fund your proposal and connect more people to California's vibrant network of arts, culture, and local parks!

What’s next?

1. Confirm Organization Signatory and Preferred Payment Method: A form titled "Grant Award Information - 2025 Arts in California Parks Grant Program" has been assigned to you in Parks California’s grant management system to collect information to help us execute your grant agreement and awards communications. Please complete this form by September 20, 2025.

2. Execute Grant Agreement: Once step 1 is complete, your organization’s grant agreement will be sent to you through AdobeSign for electronic signature. Please sign the agreement by Monday, September 30, 2025. If another individual should receive the grant agreement, please let us know as soon as possible.

3. Grantee Kick Off Call: We will be holding a kickoff call for the grantee cohort and available Parks California staff on Tuesday, October 14, 3-4PM. The purpose of this call is to share key information, introduce program staff and our evaluator, outline grant requirements and timelines, and answer questions to set you up for success. Please look out for a calendar invitation from Sarah Scheideman, Arts in California Parks Program Manager, at [email protected]. If you are unable to attend, feel free to invite a representative from your organization in your place. The call will also be recorded and shared in the event you cannot attend.
2 4. Communications: Parks California will be doing a press release announcing the grantees the week of October 20th. Please refrain from sharing news of your award publicly until our press release. Promotional materials and how to utilize them will be shared closer to the kickoff call.

Thank you again for your application to the 2025 Arts in California Parks - Implementation Grant. If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to Sarah Scheideman, Arts in California Parks Program Manager, at [email protected].
