SUBJECT: Public Convenience and Necessity Determination 67625 E Palm Canyon Drive, Building 2, Suite C7; Eagle Cathedral City Limited

To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for notifying the City of Cathedral City regarding public convenience and necessity for the proposed Eagle Cathedral City Limited (The Eagle) located at 67625 E Palm Canyon Drive, Building 2, Suite C7 in Cathedral City. The City has found that the applicant premises provides a public convenience and is a necessity for the community. This determination is based on the following:

1. The proposed bar/nightclub is consistent with the City’s General Plan , CG land use designation and PCC zoning designation.

2. Census Tract 9410.01 is an area of undue concentration; however, this is reasonable given the multiple restaurants, amusement center, and bars within the tract. The authorization of a Type 48 On-Sale General – Public Places Liquor License for Eagle Cathedral City Limited would support the establishment of a viable entertainment venue in the city.

3. There are currently only two (2) active Type 48 On -Sale General – Public Places Liquor Licenses within Tract 9410.01.

Serving as the delegated authority the City has found that the applicant’s premises will provide for the convenient patronage of the public whereby that convenience does not already exist in the immediate area and is needed by the community.

If there are additional questions or you are in need of further information, please give us a call at (760) 202-2492.

Sincerely,

Anne Ambrose
Interim City Manager
