Proposal to revise Conditional Use Permit 93-199 to allow the construction of an additional 36,170 square feet of facilities on the existing King’s Schools campus. Administrative Variance to allow a 10% increase over the 26-foot maximum building height allowed for non-lodging facilities in the RR (Resort Residential) district. An amendment to Section 9.24.030 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code is proposed to allow schools as a permitted use in the RR district subject to a conditional use permit.

Section 15162 (SUBSEQUENT EIRS AND NEGATIVE DECLARATIONS) The proposed CUP Revision, Administrative Variance, and Zoning Ordinance Amendment are substantially consistent with the conditions analyzed in the General Plan EIR and therefore the proposed project would not result in any of the criteria in CEQA Guidelines Section 15162. As such, no further environmental documentation is necessary.
