CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Nancy Ross called the Special Meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

There were no changes to the agenda.
1. LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS
A. Appointment of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem
Recommendation: To appoint Raymond Gregory to serve as Mayor and Ernesto Gutierrez to serve as Mayor Pro Tem, pursuant to Section
2.04.180 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code.

A motion was made by Councilmember Gutierrez and seconded by Councilmember Lamb to appoint Raymond Gregory to serve as Mayor and Ernesto Gutierrez to serve as Mayor Pro Tem, pursuant to Section 2.04.180 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code.
RESULT: PASS
MOVER: Ernesto Gutierrez, Councilmember
SECONDER: Rita Lamb, Councilmember

B. Oath of Office for Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem
Recommendation: The City Clerk will administer the oath of office to the newly appointed Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem.
Christina Burton, Deputy City Clerk, administered the Oath of Office to newly appointed Mayor Pro Tem Ernesto Gutierrez and Mayor Raymond Gregory.
Mayor Gregory offered remarks in remembrance of former
Councilmember Mark Carnevale, discussed the City’s progress and future, and thanked his family, the Council, staff, and residents for their support.
Mayor Pro Tem Ernesto Gutierrez discussed and thanked
Councilmember Ross for her dedication and service as Mayor. He congratulated Mayor Gregory and expressed his honor in
representing the residents and serving with the Council. He also remembered former Councilmember Mark Carnevale.
2. SPECIAL PRESENTATION
A. Special Recognition of outgoing Mayor, Nancy Ross
Recommendation: There is no Staff Recommendation.
A special recognition was held to honor the outgoing Mayor Nancy Ross for her dedicated service to the City. Members of the Council expressed appreciation for the Mayor’s leadership. Ryan Hunt, Communications and Events Manager, presented a video in appreciation of her contributions.
3. PUBLIC COMMENTS
There were no members of the public that wished to speak.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Raymond Gregory adjourned the meeting at 2:35 p.m.
