Statement Of Interest – Planning Commission
My name is Todd Hooks, I have been a resident of Cathedral City for 22 years. I have recently retired the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians where I served as the Director of Economic Development. I previously served on the Cathedral City Planning Commission ending Fall of 2014.
I wish to serve on the Planning Commission again to assist the City staff and City staff in making good, informed decisions regarding the implementation of current land use policies as well as providing years of planning, land use, development , and community engagement experience as the City embraces future challenges.
I have over 40 years direct career experience in municipal planning, redevelopment/economic development, community development, and public policy formulation. As Cathedral City works to enhance the quality of life for its residents, the changing nature of these challenges will be daunting. I believe that my skills and assets will increase the knowledge and acumen of the Planning Commission in reviewing, discussing, and making decisions on difficult, complex issues.
