Title: FIND Food Bank - Presentation on Hunger Action Month RECOMMENDATION:
To receive a presentation from FIND Food Bank with no formal action.
BACKGROUND:
FIND Food Bank is a regional food bank serving communities throughout eastern Riverside County and southern San Bernardino County. FIND works with community organizations to provide food assistance and resources to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Through its food distribution, outreach, and community programs, FIND helps address hunger and increase access to nutritious food.
DISCUSSION:
Representatives from FIND Food Bank will provide a presentation to the City Council in recognition of Hunger Action Month, observed each September to raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity.
The presentation will highlight FIND Food Bank’s efforts to support local individuals and families, available resources, and opportunities for community involvement in addressing hunger.
