Please share my email today to the entire Ava Community Energy board, their alternates, and Community Advisory members.
I am asking you to OPPOSE SB 540.
Opening up California to a regional grid might seem like a sensible idea, but given the market fundamentalist nature of spot markets, especially under the lawless, corrupt, grifting Trump administration, it will almost certainly be dominated by fossil fuels from states like Wyoming.
Worse still, it is fundamentally antithetical to the very principles of local clean energy.
Do not make the wrong decision. Vote *NO* and do not give in to this scam. -In Solidarity,
