Description of Contract Work:
O’Shaughnessy Dam releases instream flow through two 36-inch needle valves. These two needle valves have reached the end of their service life.
One of these valves exhibits significant metal loss and has been out of service since 2020. The objective of this project is to rehabilitate the instream flow release system with an additional service life of 50 years.
The scope of work includes demolition of the existing needle valves and associated pipes; installation of two new axial flow control valves, two new knife gate valves, new pipes, and a new gantry crane.
