Construction Award Duration Ratification: Consent Calendar Project Manager: Edward Allen
Ratify Correction of Award Duration, Contract No. HH-1019, 2023 Storms Remaining Road Repairs, Award Duration of 360 Consecutive Calendar Days
Summary of Proposed
Commission Action:
Ratify correction of the contract award duration for Contract No. HH- 1019, 2023 Storms Remaining Road Repairs , under Resolution No. 26-0095, adopted by the Commission on June 23, 2026, from 365 consecutive calendar days to 360 consecutive calendar days.
The agenda item and award resolution incorrectly identified the duration as 365 consecutive calendar days , when the conformed specifications in the contract, identified it correctly as 360 consecutive calendar days.
Background: On June 23, 2026, by Resolution No. 26 -0095, this Commission awarded Contract No. HH-1019 to Njirich & Sons, Inc.
After contract award, the parties identified a discrepancy between the contract duration listed in the agenda item and award resolution, which stated 365 consecutive calendar days, and the conformed specifications in the contract and bid documents, which stated 360 consecutive calendar days. The 360-day duration in the conformed specifications is correct. The 365 -day duration resulted from mistakenly including 5 calendar days associated with issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This correction does not impact CMD’s findings.
Description of Scope
of Work:
The contract work includes the following:
1. Site restoration including hydroseeding;
2. Soil and rock excavation;
3. Rock and debris removal;
