11. STRATEGIC PLAN PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION
Chair Jung stated that the vision statement needed to include a statement on being competitive in terms of rates. CEO Mosca clarified this as competitive rates, affordability, and consumer-centric.

Director Kim requested that staff work with the regional chambers that cover our service areas and potential new cities.

Vice Chair Sonne asked if an annual event was listed in the Enriching and Expanding the OCPA Community goal.

Management Analyst Viramontes stated it was not but would add a couple for Board consideration.

Director Treseder stated that objective number five from the Move Toward a More Sustainable Electric Grid goal is the main reason that OCPA was founded and requested that it be moved up on the list to highlight its importance. She also questioned the use of the phrase “a roadmap toward.” Chair Jung asked Director Treseder if she preferred that “a roadmap toward” be removed from objective five. She affirmed that suggestion.

Chair Jung further requested that a different term be used instead of “feed-in tariff” in objective one. CEO Mosca suggested using “local generation,” which Chair Jung affirmed.
