7. Decision Regarding Allocation of Carbon-Free Attributes from the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant for 2025 - 2030 (Action)
Chief Executive Officer Shawn Marshall, Jeremy Waen, Senior Director of Regulatory Policy, and Roy Xu, Senior Director of Power Resources gave a presentation on the Decision Regarding Allocation of Carbon-Free Attributes from the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant for 2025 – 2030.

Jason Mendelson, chair of the Community Advisory Committee gave a public comment.
Tim Smith with Save Clean Energy California, gave a public comment MOTION: Director Fung moved, seconded by Director McCune to move forward with option 3 with the addition of the recommendation from the CAC Report. WHEREAS accepting the allocation (in the form of carbon free attributes) would not have any impact on the physical grid, the generation output from Diablo Canyon through 2030, nor the charges that California ratepayers will be assessed starting in January 2025.
