Re: Comments on Energy Proposal Evaluation Criteria (Agenda Item 15) Dear Chairman Mosca and Members of the Board:
Please accept this letter as one of support for the proposed Energy Proposal Evaluation Criteria being considered at the March 24, 2022 board of directors meeting.
Over the last several months, Cleantech San Diego has been working with SDCP staff on the proposed criteria and appreciates the consideration of our feedback. Not only does the criteria further SDCP’s clean energy and community benefit commitments, it also provides the industry with a clear understanding of how projects are to be evaluated.
Cleantech San Diego is a member-based business organization founded 15 years ago positioning the greater San Diego region as a global leader in the cleantech economy. Our members include more than 120 businesses, universities, governments, and nonprofits committed to advancing sustainable solutions for the benefit of the economy, the environment, and all members of the community.
Cleantech San Diego will continue to remain engaged in refining specific criteria as needed and looks forward to continued collaboration on solicitation design.
