Greg reese Encinitas Ca 92024 Item 13 No solar farm in Jacumba Gregg Lichtenstein San Diego CA 92131 Non-Agenda Public Comment My name is Gregg Lichtenstein. I’m a resident of Scripps Ranch, retired family physician and concerned parent and grandparent. In 2003, hundreds of homes in my community were destroyed by climate change-related wildfires. I’m here because I want a healthy, livable planet for my children and grandkids. I’m doing what I can personally to minimize my greenhouse gas emissions including installing solar panels on my house, driving an electric car and purchasing SDPC’s Power 100 service. I realize I’m fortunate that I can afford to do these things but realize that as an individual, I am having a very limited impact on regional GHG production. I urge SDPC to accelerate the transition to affordable electricity that is produced using sustainable methods. If you can provide this to me, you can do it for all your customers, and preferably before 2035. This can be accomplished with the acceleration of rooftop solar, battery storage and local grids.
Maya Harrison JACUMBA CA 91934 Item 13 Jacumba is a very special place for the community, a new and upcoming tourist destination, and a gem in San Diego County. Placing solar panels around Jacumba will diminish the natural habitat, tourism, and affect the overall satisfaction of its residents. Please consider preserving Jacumba. This is an upcoming, hip location that will generate a lot of revenue in tourism, events, and create jobs for people in San Diego county. This will also generate more long term jobs over the solar panels. Thank you for your time and please consider saving Jacumba.
