Dear SVCE Board,
I am ecstatic that the staff has crafted the bold Roadmap proposal that you will be considering tomorrow. As I said when it was presented to the Executive Committee in August, the quality and boldness of the vision nearly moved me to tears. This roadmap deserves your support in your role as an SVCE Board Member.
Further, it is my opinion that every city should also adopt the Roadmap's overarching goal: "Drive the SVCE region to fully electrify every building and vehicle by 2045 and power it with clean energy.” I am traveling and will not be able to offer comments via Zoom, but I hope you approve the recommendation staff has created. It is exactly what our region should do to show its commitment to addressing the climate crisis.
