Subject: Nuclear Power
I am curious as to item 13 on the consent agenda. Why has VCE decided to reject nuclear energy? Surely you are aware that although the long-term storage of nuclear waste is a concern, nuclear power adds no carbon to the atmosphere and provides on demand power regardless of cloudy skies or still days. I know it is not popular to support nuclear energy, especially in Daves, but if we are serious about preventing a major extinction event, nuclear energy has to be part of the solution.
13. Ratify Greenhouse gas (GHG) Free Attributes for 2024 accepting large hydro and rejecting nuclear. (Action)
