MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CERRITOS CITY COUNCIL HELD MONDAY , AUGUST 14, 2023, 8:30 A.M., IN THE EMERALD ROOM AT THE SHERATON CERRITOS HOTEL 12725 CENTER COURT DRIVE SOUTH, CERRITOS, CALIFORNIA.
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro Tem Solanki.
3. Roll Call
The following members of the City Council were in attendance:
Councilmember Lynda P. Johnson
Councilmember Chuong Vo
Councilmember Frank Aurelio Yokoyama (arrived at approximately 8:55 a.m.) Mayor Pro Tem Naresh Solanki
Mayor Bruce W. Barrows (arrived at approximately 9:35 a.m.)
4. Public Comments
The public comments period was opened. Noting there were no individuals who elected to provide public comment, the public comments period was declared closed.
5. Closed Session
Bill Ihrke, City Attorney, announced the City Council would recess to Closed Session to discuss the following items as listed on the Closed Session agenda.

The City Council recessed to Closed Session.
CLOSED SESSION REPORT:
The City Council reconvened into Open Session. Bill Ihrke, City Attorney, reported the City Council recessed into Closed Session to discuss Items 5A and 5B as listed on the Closed Session agenda. No reportable action was taken on either item and there was nothing further to report.
6. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 5:11 p.m.
