The public can observe the meeting via livestream on the City’s website at cerritos.gov, on cable television at Cerritos TV3, or in person in the Council Chamber.

Members of the public may provide public comment for this meeting in person at the meeting or in writing as described below.
In-person public comment
: Public comment on business agenda items will be opened and may be provided during consideration of that business agenda item. Public comment on Consent Calendar, Closed Session, and non-agenda items will be opened and may be provided during Agenda Item No. 5.
Written public comment (hard copy or email)
: Public comment may be submitted via email to [email protected] or by hard copy to the Office the City Clerk at 18125 Bloomfield Avenue, Cerritos, CA 90703 no later than 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Please identify the agenda item number in the subject line of the email or hard copy document. All written correspondence received by the 3:00 p.m. deadline will be distributed to the legislative body prior to the meeting and retained with the official meeting record.

This section is reserved for public comment on Consent Calendar, Closed Session, and items not listed on the agenda but that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the legislative body. Verbal comments will be limited to three minutes per speaker, subject to the Mayor/Chair extending to a maximum of five minutes per speaker, with a total time allotted not to exceed 45 minutes unless the Mayor/Chair extends.

Review and consideration to waive full reading of and introduce AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CERRITOS AMENDING CHAPTER 2.15 OF THE CERRITOS MUNICIPAL CODE TO EXTEND THE TWO-YEAR TERMS OF OFFICE FOR 2022-24 ADVISORY BOARD, COMMISSION, AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS (COUNCIL).
This item will be considered immediately following the New and Old Business items listed on the Thursday, September 12, 2024, 7:00 p.m. City Council/Successor Agency Regular Meeting agenda.
