Account/Project: 110-552-79070 (Equipment & Machinery) Amount: $215,000
Justification: A budget amendment is requested for $215,000 in additional funding to support Phase II of the City’s Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) camera program.
Funding for Phase II was originally budgeted in the FY 2024-25 budget. However, due to vendor delays, implementation of Phase I extended into the new fiscal year. As a result, the Phase II appropriation was used to complete Phase I. Because the funds originally allocated for Phase I in FY 2023-24 were not carried over, this amendment is now necessary to restore that prior year funding and allow Phase II to proceed as planned.
This request supports recent City Council direction to enhance public safety and crime reduction efforts.
