At its meeting of 6/20/23, the Council approved a request by Councilmember Winslow to agendize a Council discussion regarding a request for a proclamation for Pride Month, with that discussion to come back in August. Based on further review by the City Clerk, agendizing a Council discussion has never been needed to request a proclamation, as the Mayor has the authority to issue them as part of his ongoing duties. Based on that fact and in order to ensure a timelier acknowledgement, a proclamation has been prepared and sent to Stonewall Alliance in order to acknowledge June as Pride Month, a copy of which is included in the agenda packet.
