A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHINO, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) ARTICLE 3 FISCAL YEAR 2013-2014 TRANSIT STOP ACCESS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $127,648 FOR THE RIVERSIDE DRIVE SIDEWALK REHABILITATION PROJECT (FORMERLY CENTRAL AVE SIDEWALK PROJECT) AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF A CLAIM TO THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE 3 FUNDS FOR THE RIVERSIDE DRIVE SIDEWALK REHABILITATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the State of California enacted the Transportation Development Act (TDA) to provide funds for the transportation needs that exist in California and are allocated to each county; and WHEREAS, San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) authorizes funding for a wide variety of transportation programs in San Bernardino County, including planning and program activities, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, community transit services, public transportation, and bus and rail projects to local transportation agencies through annual apportionment and allocation processes, and approves payments periodically throughout the year; and WHEREAS, SBCTA awarded the City of Chino TDA Article 3 grant funds in the amount of $127,648 for the construction of the Riverside Drive Sidewalk Rehabilitation Project (formerly Central Ave Sidewalk Project); AND WHEREAS, the proposed grant acceptance will incorporate $127,648 for the construction of the Riverside Drive Sidewalk Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, TDA Article 3 grant funds are provided on a reimbursement basis; and WHEREAS, SBCTA requires the City of Chino to submit a claim and request for reimbursement for TDA Article 3 funds when authorized by the City Council; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHINO DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the acceptance of the awarded grant from SBCTA and authorizes the submittal of claim and request for reimbursement for TDA Article 3 funds for the Riverside Drive Sidewalk Rehabilitation Project (formerly Central Ave Sidewalk Project) in the amount of $127,648.
Section 2. That the Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall attest to the adoption of this resolution.
